Alia Bhatt, one of the most popular and versatile actors in Bollywood, is also the executive producer of the upcoming web series Poacher, directed by Emmy Award winner Richie Mehta. The actor attended the trailer launch of the show in Mumbai on Thursday, where she was praised by the host for her achievements in her decade-long career.

In the video, the host introduces Alia recounting all her achievements in her decade long career. They call her “actor par excellence, producer, global icon and executive producer.” However, Alia was not comfortable with the lavish compliments and politely asked the host to stop. Alia said, “Please, don’t. No no, don’t… You can tell me in my ear later.”
When the host called her a ‘global icon’, she also said, “No no no, please. I’m gonna walk off stage.” The video of Alia’s playful response has been widely shared on social media platforms, where fans are admiring her humility and down-to-earth attitude.
Several fans have flooded the comments section of one such post by a paparazzi on Instagram with sweet messages for the Gully Boy actor. One person wrote, “The humblesttt❤️❤️,” another person wrote, “My favorite ❤️❤️.”

Alia, who is also the co-founder of Eternal Sunshine Productions, said that she was impressed by Richie’s storytelling and decided to back Poacher, which deals with the issue of animal poaching and illegal wildlife trade. She also revealed that she was “heavily pregnant” with her son Raha when she first met Richie to discuss the show.

Poacher, starring Nimisha Sajayan, Roshan Mathew, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Kani Kusruti, Ranjitha Menon and Maala Parvathi, will stream on Amazon Prime Video from February 23.
