The much-anticipated trailer of ‘Dono’ starring Rajveer Deol & Paloma Dhillon is finally out. This upcoming romantic drama not only marks the acting debut of Rajveer, son of Gadar 2 actor Sunny Deol but also introduces Paloma Dhillon, daughter of the evergreen Poonam Dhillon, to the silver screen. What adds to the intrigue is that the film is helmed by Avnish Barjatya, son of the celebrated director Sooraj Barjatya, making his directorial debut in the industry.
The trailer premiere, which took place on Monday, September 4, provides an early glimpse into the film’s plot. Both Rajveer and Paloma’s parents graced the trailer launch event with them.

What’s In Rajveer Deol-Paloma Dhillon’s Dono Trailer?
‘Dono’ unfolds against the backdrop of a destination wedding & follows the story of Dev and Meghna, portrayed by Rajveer and Paloma respectively. Fate brings them together at their friends’ wedding, igniting a passionate romance between them.
The heartwarming trailer gives away the basic plot, centred around two heartbroken souls who discover love in the most unexpected of places. Dev, who has a 10-year of unrequited love for his friend who is getting married, meets Meghna, freshly broken up from a 6-year relationship, at the wedding. Together, the duo attempts to move on from the past & give love a second chance.

The film’s soundtrack is crafted by the legendary trio Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani, and Loy Mendonsa. Avnish S. Barjatya and Manu Sharma lend their creative pens to this romantic saga. Notably, ‘Dono’ marks the return of Rajshri Productions to the pure, unadulterated romantic drama genre after a remarkable hiatus of 33 years, following the iconic ‘Maine Pyaar Kiya’, featuring Salman Khan and Bhagyashree.
‘Dono’ is a team project of Rajshri Productions and Jio Studios, with Sooraj Barjatya serving as the creative producer.
The film’s musical enchantment is further amplified by the lyrical finesse of Irshad Kamil. Avnish Barjatya, the director, is also credited with crafting the story, while the screenplay is a joint effort with Manu Sharma.
The film is all set to hit the theatres on October 5, 2023.
