The much-anticipated sequel to the horror-comedy Stree is gearing up for its big-screen return this Independence Day. Following the excitement generated by its trailer and previous music releases, Stree 2 has now dropped a new romantic song titled “Tumhare Hi Rahenge Hum.”
Shraddha Kapoor-Rajkummar Rao’s Sweet Romance In Stree 2 Song ‘Tumhare Hi Rahenge Hum’
On Tuesday, Maddock Films shared the track on Instagram with a caption that read, “Intezaar hua hai khatam kyunki tumhare they, tumhare hain, tumhare hi rahenge… hum. #TumhareHiRahengeHum – OUT NOW! #Stree2, the legend returns this Independence Day, 15th August, 2024.”
The song begins with a heartwarming conversation between Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor. This scene mirrors the ending of the first Stree film, where Rajkummar’s character asks Shraddha what he should do if he wants to talk to her. Shraddha’s sweet reply, “Bas… mujhe yaad kar lena” (Simply just think of me), sets a nostalgic tone as she boards a bus and leaves.
In a twist of fate, Rajkummar’s character sees Shraddha alive and well in the present day. Unable to believe his eyes, he lights a matchstick to ensure he’s not dreaming. When the matchstick burns his finger, he realises Shraddha is truly there, standing right in front of him.
The song showcases a series of innocent, love-filled moments between the two. One scene features Shraddha on the first floor of a building and Rajkummar on the ground floor. As she extends her hand towards him, he reaches out as well, and with a touch of magic, he starts floating and moves towards her.
The romantic setting continues as Rajkummar ensures Shraddha enjoys a village fair. The track ends with a dramatic twist: as Rajkummar gently glides his finger across Shraddha’s face, the romantic vibe shifts into a horror moment, with Shraddha’s face transforming into a terrifying visage that bites his finger.
The track is a melodious creation, featuring vocals by Varun Jain, Shilpa Rao, and Sachin-Jigar, with music composed by Sachin-Jigar and lyrics penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya.

Stree 2 is the latest addition to Maddock Films’ horror-comedy universe, following hits like Stree, Bhediya, and Munjya. It will be released on August 15, facing off against Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham’s Vedaa.
