Just when the Welcome universe is gearing up to storm cinemas again, producer Firoz A Nadiadwala has quietly hit the accelerator on the next chapter. As of March 8, 2026, the big update is that Welcome 4 is already deep into development, with the franchise’s most beloved trio poised to return to the madness.
For fans who have kept the dialogues and don-style swagger of Uday Shetty and Majnu Bhai alive for years, this is the kind of news that instantly feels like home.
The Latest Update On Welcome 4
The scripting for Welcome 4 is currently in advanced stages. Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor, and Paresh Rawal are set to reunite as their iconic characters Uday Shetty, Majnu Bhai, and Dr Ghungroo, respectively, with the writers working on weaving them “organically into the plot” while keeping the story “completely different” from the earlier films.
At the same time, Nadiadwala’s Welcome to the Jungle is nearing completion, with only one song left to be shot. The film is slated to release in theatres on June 26, 2026. The third instalment is directed by Ahmed Khan and is mounted as a massive ensemble comedy featuring Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Jackie Shroff, Raveena Tandon, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Arshad Warsi, and Paresh Rawal among many others.
Another interesting detail for longtime fans is Rawal’s double presence in this comedy universe: he is part of Welcome to the Jungle too, but he does not play Dr Ghungroo in that film, instead appearing in a different role.
Welcome 4 is also being designed to introduce fresh comic antagonists. The makers are looking to add fresh comic antagonists as “more than one lovable don” with performers known for timing and humour, with leading actors currently in talks for those parts. The tone is expected to stay within the franchise’s familiar “family universe” of humour, glamour, and action.

In the last few years, Paresh Rawal has stayed firmly in the mainstream mix with theatrical titles like Shehzada (2023) and Oh My God 2 (2023). He also featured in Sarfira (2024), reuniting with Akshay Kumar in a film directed by Sudha Kongara. Looking ahead, he is part of the theatrical lineup Bhooth Bangla (2026), a horror comedy that brings Akshay Kumar and director Priyadarshan back together, and he is also locked in for Welcome to the Jungle (2026) ahead of Welcome 4 moving into its next stage.
