Recent updates on the Ahmed Khan-directed adventure comedy, Welcome To The Jungle, have revealed some significant casting changes, adding a new dimension to the film.
Following Sanjay Dutt‘s departure due to health concerns, Firoz Nadiadwala and Ahmed Khan have brought Jackie Shroff on board to play a pivotal role.

Jacky Shroff Joins Welcome To The Jungle Cast
According to a report by PinkVilla, Jackie Shroff has quietly joined the cast of Welcome To The Jungle after Sanjay Dutt’s exit. The production team has made adjustments to the character dynamics, with Suniel Shetty stepping into a role initially written for Dutt.
A source close to the project disclosed, “Jackie Shroff has been silently shooting for Welcome To The Jungle ever since Sanjay Dutt’s exit from the film. There is a twist in the tale for Welcome To The Jungle as the makers have reworked on the character traits and recast for some parts.”
Suniel Shetty Takes Sanjay Dutt’s Place In Welcome 3
Both Suniel Shetty and Sanjay Dutt are known for their robust on-screen personas, and the decision to cast Shetty in Dutt’s role aims to maintain the character’s essence.
The source elaborated, “The humour for Suniel’s character comes from his machoism.”
Meanwhile, Jackie Shroff’s inclusion brings a fresh dynamic to the film, presenting him in a completely new light. The casting shuffle occurred in December, with Jackie already shooting significant portions of his role.

Welcome To The Jungle is anticipated to be a highlight of 2024’s comedy offerings, boasting an impressive ensemble cast. Scheduled for a Christmas 2024 release, the film marks Akshay Kumar’s return to the beloved franchise.
With production progressing in Mumbai, the team aims to wrap up filming by the end of July. Alongside Akshay, Suniel, and Jackie, the film features Paresh Rawal, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Lara Dutta, Raveena Tandon, Rajpal Yadav, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor, Mika Singh, and Daler Mehndi in prominent roles.
