Salman Khan’s Dabangg 3 has finally hit the theatres today and it has opened with a mixed response as far as the reviews are concerned. Even at the box office, the film has been receiving an average response.
Now the news coming in is that Dabangg 3 is getting fewer screens than the first two instalments and this has come as a shocker to many of us. It seems something’s wrong with either the content or exhibitors are being cautious as next week also sees the release of Akshay Kumar’s Good Newwz.
According to a quote from a trade analyst on a leading online portal, “The film’s marketing team is to be blamed for this. They thought Salman Khan alone is enough and the film doesn’t need any marketing inputs. But this is wrong. See, whatever may be the outcome after release it’s the job of the so-called marketing ‘experts’ to generate the hype and build anticipation. What are you hired for?”
Trailers of Dabangg 3 received a great response from the audience and the movie was expected to open big. But because of protests, it seems the movie will struggle at the box office.
