Earlier we have reported that Katrina Kaif and Ali Abbas Zafar are set to team up once again for a new project. The duo who shares a strong friendship bond has worked in blockbuster films like Tiger Zinda Hai and Bharat. However nothing has been officially announced yet but there is some strong buzz that the new venture will be a superhero-themed one.
The film is said to be locked on the budget of Rs. 90 crores and Katrina is reported to be a part of the first installment.
“The film is being planned on a lavish scale and mounted on a grand canvas. They want to establish it into a franchise and for the first part starring Katrina, they are looking at making it at a whopping budget of Rs 90 crore,” a daily quoted a source.
There are also reports that Ali had dropped the idea of Mr. India 2 following the backlash.
“They never expected such a hue and cry over the Mr. India franchise. After Mr. India’s director, Shekhar Kapur, decided to sue them, Zee Studios and Ali Abbas Zafar dropped Mr. India and decided to do something else,” the source added.
