‘Bholaa’ is an upcoming film directed by Ajay Devgn, which is an official remake of Tamil blockbuster ‘Kaithi’. It stars Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Sanjay Mishra and is produced by Tseries films, Ajay Devgn Ffilms, Reliance Entertainment and Dream Warrior Pictures. It is set to be released on March 30, 2023.
Directed by Luv Ranjan, romantic-comedy ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar’ stars Luv Ranjan, Shraddha Kapoor. It is set to be released on March 8, 2023. Ranjan and Rahul Mody have written it and produced it by Luv Films and T-Series Films.
The March will witness these two much anticipated movies and it will be seen who will march towards becoming higher grosser at the Box-office. The Holi break could lead to Luv Ranjan’s movie for great advances. Ajay starrer ‘Bholaa’ could take advantage of his earlier ‘Drishyam 2’, hoping the actor to give his directorial a chance to excel with his face value at least.

Ranbir’s all time non holiday blockbuster movies include “YJHD”, “Sanju”, “Brahmastra” earning Rs 330 cr, Rs 586.85 cr, Rs 431 cr respectively. This time there is possibility of big business for upcoming release on a holiday period as well as collaboration with the director whose many earlier films have been successful in same genre (‘Pyar Ka Punchnama’, ‘Pyar Ka Punchnama 2’ and ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’).
When it comes to Ajay, he rocked in ‘Drishyam 2’ at the Box-office. Film’s trailer seems like a massy film full of action and it’s certain to open big. However, his directorial movies like ‘Runway 34’, ‘Shivaay’, ‘U Me Aur Hum’, never became a hit and much successful like his movies in which he acted. This might change with ‘Bholaa’.
Opening Day Battle: Ajay Devgn Vs Ranbir Kapoor
Without doubt Ranbir Kapoor Shraddha Kapoor starrer ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar’ will open around 12-14 cr nett minimum which will be good (at least double of films like ‘Shehzada’). This can grow further depending upon next song and buzz just before release.
On the other hand, Ajay Devgn Starrer ‘Bholaa’ will open around 18 cr nett day one minimum and this can go up to 20-22 cr nett depending upon how trailer and song track.
Opening day number will be in favour of Ajay Devgn Starrer without doubt but lifetime run will be decided by content. There it could be a close race.
