Superstar Shah Rukh Khan has been receiving accolades for his behaviour during his son’s recent legal troubles. Khan’s eldest son, Aryan Khan, was accused of being involved in a drug case and spent some time in jail before being granted bail.
Rather than making a spectacle of himself and his family, Khan chose to keep a low profile and stay out of the media spotlight. He refrained from making any public statements about the case, and he and his family members avoided any unnecessary attention. Even after Aryan was released on bail, the Khan family kept a low profile and remained silent about the entire ordeal.
Khan’s behaviour has earned him widespread praise for his grace and dignity in the face of adversity. His friend and industry colleague, actor and producer Viveck Vaswani, commended Khan’s behaviour, saying that it was an example that others should strive to emulate.
“I think he did not want to escalate it (the issue), he didn’t open his mouth, neither did Aryan, Gauri or Suhana, it is called grace and dignity,” Connect FM Canada quoted him as saying.
Khan’s humility and down-to-earth attitude have long been appreciated by his fans and colleagues, but his behaviour during this difficult time has only strengthened his reputation as a class act. “This is an experience that’s yet to sink in. Maybe we will be more grateful to God. There were times when we had to make calls to people to make them release the film with ease and they did that. I want my films to release with love,” he had said.
