Aamir Khan has confirmed that work on Andaz Apna Apna 2 has begun. Fans are now excited to see if Salman Khan will join him for the sequel. But will Shah Rukh also join them? Industry buzz suggests that the three might reunite for a sequel.

Aamir recently shared an update about the film during his 60th birthday celebration. He shared, “We would all want Andaz Apna Apna 2. We have told Raj ji (director Rajkumar Santoshi) to work on the script. As soon as his script is ready, Salman and I would definitely want to work on it. I think the audience would want to watch Andaz Apna Apna 2… Raj ji is working on the script.”
The original Andaz Apna Apna (released in 1994) is now a cult classic. Its hilarious dialogues and quirky characters have made it a fan favourite over the years.
Aamir has shown interest in reprising his role as Amar, but Salman’s involvement is still unclear. Fans are hoping to see them reunite, but their busy schedules may delay the sequel.
Aamir Khan: Upcoming Films
Before Andaz Apna Apna 2, Aamir will be seen in Sitaare Zameen Par, a thematic follow-up to Taare Zameen Par. Directed by RS Prasanna, the film is set for a June release.
Speaking about it, Aamir said, “It’s a thematic sequel. It is many steps ahead of Taare Zameen Par, which was about a special child who is struggling. Here in this film, 10 special people are the protagonists, and I’m the antagonist.”
He is also producing Lahore 1947, directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and starring Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta. Javed Akhtar has seen the film’s first cut and believes it has strong potential.

The 1994 film followed Amar (Aamir Khan) and Prem (Salman Khan) as they competed to win over a wealthy heiress, Raveena (Raveena Tandon). The film also featured Karisma Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, and Shakti Kapoor, who played the iconic Crime Master Gogo. Despite its slow start at the box office, the film became a Bollywood classic.
