Actor John Abraham has teased fans with the possibility of reuniting with Akshay Kumar for a comedy film. The duo has delivered hits like Garam Masala, Desi Boyz, and Housefull 2. Though nothing is official, John’s recent comments have sparked excitement.
John Abraham And Akshay Kumar’s Surprise Reunion On Cards?
In a chat with PTI, John shared his eagerness to return to comedy. “We are having conversations, Akshay and I are having conversations. It will be a surprise if something happens. But we’re looking at an excuse to work together again because Akshay and I feed off each other’s energy. So, I’m looking for an excuse to work with him again soon.”
Fans will now hope for another comedy blockbuster. Their past films have been fan favourites, and a new project could be another box-office hit.
John is not looking for just any comedy. He wants a story that makes people laugh while also being meaningful. He recalled Garam Masala as a special film and wants to recreate that charm with the right script. He is also in discussions with director Shivam Nair, who is known for his unique style of slapstick comedy.
John Has Rakesh Maria Biopic With Rohit Shetty
John is also considering a very different project. Reports suggest he might play former Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria in a biopic. Maria handled major cases, including the 1993 Bombay blasts and the 26/11 attacks.
John confirmed the discussions but said nothing is final yet. “The biopic is still in early stages. Once everything is finalised, I’ll make an official announcement,” he said. If this project moves ahead, it will add another intense role to his career.
Whether he joins Akshay for another comedy or takes on a serious role, fans can expect some exciting films ahead.
