Fans of the mega-hit movie expressed their displeasure after it was revealed that Kartik Aaryan would take over as the new face of the popular comedy franchise “Hera Pheri.” Veteran actor Paresh Rawal, who plays the lead role in “Hera Pheri,” confirmed Kartik’s recent casting on Twitter on Friday. Kartik Aaryan has been cast to play a significant role in Hera Pheri 3, as everyone is aware. While responding to a fan over Twitter, Paresh Rawal announced his casting. It should be noted that Akshay Kumar quit the project as a result of creative disagreements.
For the uninitiated, Akshay Kumar co-starred with Paresh Rawal and Suniel Shetty in the films Hera Pheri and Phir Hera Pheri as Raju. Fans of Akki are thus extremely disappointed by his decision to drop out of the most challenging assignment.
In the thick of all, Akshay Kumar recently attended a Hindustan Times event and spoke candidly about not appearing in Hera Pheri 3. While discussing his departure from the movie, he broke down in tears and apologised to his followers. According to Khiladi Kumar, “Kal hi Mai dekh raha tha. No Raju no Hera Pheri. As much as hurt they are, I myself is hurt. I apologise to them that I won’t be doing Hera Pheri. Sorry.”
Now jury is out whether Kartik will be able to replace Akshay like he did in Bhool Bhullaiya 2. But there are differences in both the cases :
1. Bhool Bhullaiya 2 was more recent and less cult film and had music as backbone too but in case of Hera Pheri sequels it’s NOT about the music but more about chemistry between all three characters
2. Bhool Bhullaiya 2 can be modernised and put in horror comedy genre with younger actor but Hera Pheri is more rustic rooted comedy which no one able to crack in recent times.
3. Above all, Akshay Kumar was one factor in Bhool Bhullaiya 2 as Vidya Balan to suspense were driving force. But in Hera Pheri Akshay was one of the most important factors of the film and face of content.
In 2000, Priyadarshan’s film “Hera Pheri” was released. Its main principal actors included Tabu, Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal, and Akshay Kumar.
