Junglee Pictures has just announced its next big project, Haq, a gripping drama that brings together Yami Gautam Dhar and Emraan Hashmi on screen for the very first time. Directed by Suparn S Varma, the film is inspired by a landmark Supreme Court case that remains a topic of discussion even today. What Is The Story Of Haq?
Haq is a fictionalized drama based on the real-life events of the historic Mohd. Ahmed Khan v. Shah Bano Begum case from the 1980s. The story, which draws from the book Bano: Bharat ki Beti by Jigna Vora, explores the clash between Personal Law and Secular Law. It raises important questions that are still relevant today, such as whether justice should be the same for everyone and if it is time for a Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in the country.
The film starts as a love story between a husband and wife, but their personal dispute soon turns into a major courtroom battle. This legal fight brings larger issues of faith, identity, and law to the forefront, making everyone think about where to draw the line between personal beliefs and the law of the land.

Yami Gautam And Emraan Hashmi In Challenging Roles
After her powerful performance in Article 370, Yami Gautam Dhar is back with another strong role. She takes her fight to court to demand maintenance for herself and her children.
