Yash’s Toxic is getting a different theatrical cut for Indian cinemas. The film’s English-language version, which releases in India on September 4, has a certified runtime of 2 hours 54 minutes, making it 18 minutes shorter than the Indian-language version, which runs 3 hours 12 minutes.
Latest Update On The English Version
That runtime split is now the big release-day talking point around Toxic. The Indian-language cut has been certified at 192 minutes, while the English version is cleared at 174 minutes for its India rollout on September 4. Rather than a routine language dub, the English release is arriving as a shorter cut with its own exhibition length in theatres.
The move follows a wave of attention around the film’s multilingual presentation and comes at a time when Toxic is already under close watch as Yash’s first release after KGF: Chapter 2. With the English version now carrying a clearly shorter runtime, the distinction between the film’s Indian-language and English playbook has become part of its release conversation.
Film Details And Certification
Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is directed by Geetu Mohandas and produced by KVN Productions along with Yash’s Monster Mind Creations. Certification details for the Indian-language version list the runtime at 3 hours 12 minutes and confirm that the film was granted an A certificate with two minor dialogue-related modifications.
The film has been mounted as a large-scale action title and has carried strong curiosity since its first look because it marks Yash’s return in a fresh creative collaboration after the KGF franchise. The title has also been positioned as a multilingual release with a wider international push.
Cast, Scale And Current Positioning
The cast includes Yash in the lead, alongside Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth. The ensemble has been one of the film’s biggest attractions, with the project bringing together stars from multiple industries for a broad pan-India release.
Film proved to be a big disaster as film is struggling to cross 150 crore nett in Hindi despite 53 crore day one. Film remained a big box office disappointment in overseas and other languages too.
Geetu Mohandas directing a Yash-led commercial spectacle has also made Toxic stand out in the current theatrical slate. The combination of a major star, a distinctive filmmaker and a cross-market release plan has kept the film firmly in the spotlight.
Yash’s Recent And Upcoming Work
Yash was last seen in KGF: Chapter 2 in 2022, a blockbuster that elevated him into the top tier of pan-India stars. Since then, Toxic has marked his return to the big screen, while also putting him in the spotlight as a producer shaping one of the year’s most closely followed releases.
Looking ahead, Yash is also part of Ramayana Part 1, scheduled for release in 2026, with Ramayana Part 2 also on his confirmed slate. Together, those projects outline the next phase of his career after the long post-KGF break.
