Zoya Akhtar is one of the finest directors of the industry she may not often make films as she says “You know, I don’t feel I need to keep having a release.” But leaves a mark every time she creates something.
The year 2018 was the year of Zoya Akhtar with projects like Lust Stories, Gully Boy, and Made In Heaven. She yet again proved herself.
Zoya says she has to have a story she really wants to tell and then it makes sense to put things out there.
She also revealed that though she loves movies, gangster genre is one of her favorites. The filmmaker believes the movie creators are also a part of the audience. She says if the script is good she’ll do it otherwise she is happy to kickback. When asked about collaboration with her brother Farhan Akhtar she said, “I don’t know. Find me a gangster film. Farhan and I are dying to do one. We are looking for a good script.”
The brother-sister duo last worked in Dil Dhadakne Do which also starred Anil Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, and Ranveer Singh.
