Rajinikanth collaborates with Nelson Dilipkumar for a feature film, shooting begins this Summer

Rajinikanth is teaming up with Nelson Dilipkumar for his next feature project, which is set to begin production this summer.

Rajinikanth is one of India’s biggest stars, with the industry anticipating his films to break all box office records and defy all aging laws. The rumors regarding his future projects haven’t died down, and there’s still a lot of conjecture about what he’ll do following the Siva-directed family drama Annaatthe. Rajinikanth is teaming up with Nelson Dilipkumar for his next feature project, which is set to begin production this summer.

“Rajinikanth and Nelson are teaming up next for a feature film. It’s a typical Nelson Dilipkumar Film that’s high on content with ample of quirky elements in the screenplay. The entire team is excited to take the film on floors by April end/Early May,” revealed a source close to the development to Pinkvilla. The film in question will be released in theatres between December 2022 and February 2023. “An official announcement is round the corner with a special video. The film is produced by Sun Pictures with Anirudh on board to do the music and background score,” the source added.

Meanwhile, Nelson is preparing for the release of his next film, Beast, which stars Thalapathy Vijay. The film is set to be released on Tamil New Year’s Day.

The yet-to-be-titled film will be Rajinikanth’s 169th, and the entire crew is looking forward to working with him again. Based on the COVID-19 scenario, it will be shot over the course of five to six months in a variety of places. The celebrity is already in talks with a number of directors for Thalaivar 170, a significant project. Before he finishes work on Thalaivar 169, the same will be locked by the end of the year.
