Recently, fans of both these actors went gaga and the internet was set on fire after a new poster of their upcoming film Jailer was launched. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Jailer is an ambitious entertainer that is bringing three names from three different industries under one roof. Apart from Rajinikanth and Mohanlal, the film also features Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar in an important role.

In the poster, both Rajini and Mohanlal can be seen talking to each other on a couch. Their outfits and fashion sense hint that the film might be inspired by a bygone era of the 1970s. When the trailer of Jailer was launched, Mohanlal’s fans were disappointed as he wasn’t seen in it. He has been kept from the promos to build on the growing excitement. In the trailer, Rajinikanth is seen playing the role of Muthuvel Pandian who is a simple family man that starts wreaking havoc when trouble knocks on his doorstep. The trailer was well received and has amped up the hype for this film.

Jailer is a Tamil action comedy film written and directed by Nelson. It is backed by Kalanithi Maran under the Sun Pictures banner.
