Timepass and its sequel was the game changer film in Marathi Film Industry and was a huge Box-Office success, and recently when the third part of the franchise was announced by Ravi Jadhav and Team it became the hottest topic on the internet. The shooting of the film has been completed by now. With some parts left, a dispute has arisen between the film’s producer Maurya Films and Entertainment and director Ravi Jadhav. The producer claims to have all the rights of the film Timepass3, and the same has been sent to the Public notice in all the leading Marathi Newspaper.
The notice was issued by Dinesh Adsule, counsel for producer Maurya Films and Entertainment in all the leading Marathi Newspaper. Accordingly, an MoU was signed on November 3, 2020 for Maurya Films and director Ravi Jadhav’s Timepass 3 film. According to him, Maurya has a right to all aspects of the current Timepass 3. He says that Maurya has the right to script, sound track, brand names etc. The notice also mentions that Ravi Jadhav was paid for the film as agreed. The notice states that Maurya has the sole right to use Timepass 3 and if anyone wants to deal with respect to the Timepass 3 film, it is mandatory to get its written permission from Maurya Films and Entertainment. It also said that legal action would be taken if any deals are done directly without keeping in loop to Maurya Films and Entertainment.
When contacted by Maurya Films, he also mentioned that Ravi Jadhav had earlier sent notices to the producers through his lawyer. Overall, the discrepancy between the producer and the director has left Timepass 3 in a quandary. Ravi Jadhav could not be reached for comment when ABP Mazha reached out for his reply to the said controversy .
