Dhanush is one of the biggest stars in the Tamil film industry. In his over two-decade-long career, Dhanush has acted in some of the most commercially successful films of all time. Some of his popular works are Aadukalam, Asuran, Maari, Raanjhanna, and others. Apart from acting, Dhanush is also a successful producer and runs the company Wunderbar Films.
Today, Dhanush launched the poster of his 51st film which is titled D51. The film will be helmed by Telugu director Sekhar Kammula. Just a day before his 40th birthday, the star announced the film and shared a poster on Twitter. The poster shows a massive bundle of old hundred rupee notes with a sprawling metro city in the background. The dated cash is seen as a hint by fans as D51 might be a historical or period film.

While one side of the note shows the bustling city, the other side shows the poor slum life of the city. The announcement was done on the birth anniversary of Narayan Das K Narang.
About D51
D51 will mark the first collaboration between Sekhar Kammula and Dhanush. The film will be multi-lingual and will be produced by Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao under the banner of Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP along with Amigos Creations Pvt Ltd. It will be presented by Sonali Narang. The teaser poster has certainly generated a lot of buzz among Dhanush’s fans who are eagerly waiting for more updates about it.
Dhanush’s Upcoming Projects
Dhanush has had two releases in 2023 so far, the period action drama Vaathi and Sir. He will be next seen playing the titular role in the historical action drama Captain Miller. Apart from this, he will be doing a Bollywood film with Aanand L. Rai titled Tere Ishk Mein. His fans are also excited about his collaboration with Nelson, as they have joined forces for an upcoming film reportedly backed by none other than the legendary Kamal Haasan. If this news is true, it is going to be one of the biggest Tamil films in history.
