Ponniyin Selvan: Chiyaan Vikram finally wraps Mani Ratnam’s film, also starring Aishwarya Rai after two years

Ratnam's ambitious project 'Ponniyin Selvan' is based on novelist Kalki Krishnamurthy's book of the same name.

Chiyaan Vikram has completed filming for Mani Ratnam’s next film, “Ponniyin Selvan.” In the film, he portrays the character of Aditya Karikalan.

On Monday, Chiyaan’s manager made the official announcement via Twitter. He wrote, He tweeted: “It’s a wrap for #AdithyaKarikalan #ChiyaanVikram sir has completed shooting for his portions in #PonniyinSelvan (both first and second part).”

Ratnam’s ambitious project ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ is based on novelist Kalki Krishnamurthy’s book of the same name. The Chola dynasty’s king Rajaraja Chola I is the subject of this book.

The film’s production was twice interrupted owing to the Covid pandemic, which began in 2019. AR Rahman, an Academy Award-winning composer, composed the film’s music. The film will be released in two parts also stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Vikram, Trisha and Karthi, among others.
