Suriya’s highly awaited first look poster from his upcoming film, tentatively named Suriya 40, will be released on July 22 at 6 p.m., just in time for his 46th birthday (July 23).
Confirming the big news, the makers of the film Sun Pictures took to their Twitter handle and wrote, “#Suriya40FirstLook on July 22 @ 6 PM! #Suriya40 #Suriya40FLon22nd.”

The actor’s silhouette is featured in the 14-second teaser , allegedly getting ready to strike his opponent as he clutches a lengthy chain and folds it in complete style. The background music and the actor’s lethal persona in the dark have piqued fans’ interest, as #Suriya40 and #Suriya40FLon22nd are now trending on social media.

The rural drama is directed by Pandiraj and is backed by Kalanithi Maran under Sun Pictures. The highly awaited film, which stars Priyanka Arul Mohan, Sathyaraj, Saranya Ponvannan, Cibi, and Jaya Prakash, began shooting in February of this year. D Imman created the film’s music, and cinematographer Rathnavelu served as the director of photography.
