Here are top releases to watch this weekend:
- Ponniyin Selvan I
PS1 (Ponniyin Selvan Part 1), a film directed by Mani Ratnam, an Indian Tamil-language action film released theatrically on September 30, 2022. It stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Vikram, Sobhita Dhulipala and others. Kalki Krishnamoorthi has written epic historical fiction. The drama-fantasy film was released in five Indian languages: Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. It streams on Amazon Prime Video.
- Brahmastra Part One: Shiva
Directed by Ayan Mukerji, Brahmastra released theatrically on September 9 starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy, Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan. Moviegoers have applauded the film and performances, especially on VFX, Shah Rukh’s cameo appearance in a large dark room. It streams on Disney plus hotstar.
- The Ghost
The mystery/adventure movie is directed by Praveen Sattaru. It stars Sonal Chauhan, Nagarjuna, Gul Panag, Anikha Surendran and others. It showcases an ex-Interpol officer making devastation and creating shock waves across the underworld, worldwide. He goes missing in action but comes back after several years for his adorable family. The 2 hour 18 minute movie streams on Netflix.
