Class Of 83 Movie Review: Bobby Deol’s Dean Vijay Singh Uncovers The Unexplored Side Of Police Force

Story:

Netflix’s Class of 83′ is a story of IPS Officer Vijay Singh. It’s a story where five cadets, who are actually having a tough time in keeping up their lessons at the academy. But Dean Vinay Singh takes an interest in them and train them, eventually revealing that he wants to form a secret police squad to kill the gangsters of then called Bombay (Mumbai).

Writing:

The writer of Shootout At Wadala, Abhijeet Deshpande’s story is mainly about a man who lacks hopes in life. Vijay Singh is the lead of the film but is definitely a person who is done with life. He’s the one who’s not a man to look up to by his son in his family. But then that’s how he looks at himself but for the world and people, this man have changed a lot of thing for the country and for the people. The story of the film is well written and sends the proper message.

Performances:

The makers of Class Of 83′ have done a perfect job in the casting of the film. Bobby Deol as Dean Vijay Singh is excellent. The five fresh faces Shukla (Bhupendra Jadawat), Aslam (Sameer Paranjape), Jadhav (Ninad Mahajani), Surve (Prithvik Pratap) and Varde (Hitesh Bhojraj) impresses you much. Anup Soni and Vishvajeet Pradhan gave outstanding performances.

Direction:

Atul Sabharwal’s direction is lackluster. The director seems like he forgot to focus on the locations of the film. Apart from that, the film looks old-fashioned which lacks the interest in the film. The film’s tones have been kept dark all the time making it bleak.

Music:

From the start of the film, till the end, the music keeps you hooked into the film. Hence, Viju Shah deserves a special mention for his amazing work.

Verdict:

Bobby Deol’s Class Of 83′ does justice to the book and describes the motto “protect the good and destroy the evil” precisely.
