Movie Review:
The story of Extraction revolves around a kid Ovi Mahajan (Rudrash Jaiswal) who is a son of a crime lord played by Pankaj Tripathi. He is in jail when his son gets kidnapped and Chris Hemsworth as Tyler Rake is hired to rescue him. Randeep Hooda plays his foil Saju who is also working for Ovi’s father.
The plot is based in Dhaka Bangladesh where antagonist Amir Asif played by Priyanshu Painyuli is ready to make their lives hell.
Direction:
Sam Hargrave has done a fabulous job in directing and screenplay. He kept most of the dialogues are in Hindi and Bangali. The minute details in the overall set makes you believe that they are actually on the streets of Bangladesh.
Music:
The makers have worked a lot to create the music which always keeps you at the edge of your seats. From the sound of bullets to the sound of Bollywood numbers playing in the houses are beautifully overlapped. There are some emotional scenes in the film which makes an impact.
Performances:
There is no doubt that the film holds the most talented cast. We wish the dialogues were more engaging. The film is a heardcore high-octane action scenes. The film is a treat for action lovers, however, for those who want a story in the film at a point it feels like a videogame.
Verdict:
Overall, Extraction is not for the weak-hearted. The action in the film is the only USP. Sitting home at this time of quarantine, this can be a one time watch for you.
