Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl stars Janhvi Kapoor in the lead. The film is based is based on the story of Indian Air Force pilot Gunjan Saxena who, along with Srividya Rajan, became the first Indian women fighter pilots to venture into a war zone. Gunjan rescued soldiers during the Kargil War in 1999 and was honoured with the Shaurya Vir award for displaying courage and grit during the war.

The trailer shows how Gunjan played by Janhvi Kapoor keeps fighting throughout to fit in the career that she dreams of since childhood. From fighting for it at home with her brother till fighting with her seniors. Being the only female candidate in the group, she did not lose her hope and keep struggling.

The aura of rhe trailer looks like we are into the world of air officers and watching them live. The background score seems promising as well. Janhvi as the airforce officer gives us hopes of watching a good film in the coming future.

Sharan Sharma directorial Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl is a joint production of Dharma Productions and Zee Studios. It will premier on Netflix from 12th August. The film also stars Pankaj Tripathi and Angad Bedi.
