Flight is a story about a multi-millionaire businessman whose private jet has been hijacked and he is trapped inside alone surviving for his life. Well, the story starts with a passenger flight that crashed due to technical errors in the manufacturing of the plane. Members of the aircraft company are now discussing the same and finding out a black box (flight recorder) that was placed in the crashed aircraft.
Here enters Ranveer Malhotra (Mohit Chadda) a very typical filmy boy who must have born in the cinema hall as he rarely speaks normally without using famous dialogues from iconic films. Ranveer who is the owner of the aircraft company wants to get the black box to investigate the matter. However, shareholders are not in favor and turn against him. Finally, Ranveer gets the Box and decides to go solo on a flight to Dubai for a meeting that can aid his investigation. Here the main plot of the story begins when Ranveer’s plane gets hijacked. The rest of the story is about his struggle for survival.
Most of the screen time was acquired by Mohit Chadda and it feels sometimes that he is going overboard but that’s how his character has been designed. Other than his other cast members like Zakir Hussain, Pavan Raj Malhotra, and Shibani Bedi have done a commendable job. It sometimes feels that the must-have gotten a good time frame in the film.
Suraj Joshi’s direction is a win-win here. Even though we know there are VFX but you believe in it. Creating the whole flight and maintaining every detail is commendable. The film doesn’t make you feel that what they are showing is fake in terms of technicality. Suraj has a bright feature in Bollywood it seems after Flight.
With all the other loopholes Flight is a good entertainer to which keeps you on the edge of the seat and you can’t predict the next scene. To experience the VFX one must see it on the big screen.
