Diwali weekend was expected for all new releases as small films struggled and bigger one performed fabulously. Despite negativity ‘HOUSEFULL 4’ managed superb collections in 2nd week.
‘Saand Ki Aankh’ started very low with 48 lacs but did witness some growth in Saturday with 1.08 cr nett number. The movie witnessed festive drop and collected 91 lacs on Sunday. The movie collected 2.47 cr nett over weekend which was way below par considering reviews and holiday period.
Saand Ki Aankh took advantage of holiday on Monday and collected 3.19 cr nett. Film added 2.85 cr nett, 1.63 cr nett, 1.64 cr nett on following three days. The movie has 1st week total of 11.68 cr nett.
Saand Ki Aankh got benefitted with not many releases in 2nd week and ‘Made In China’ finished its run in one week itself. The film collected 1.28 cr nett on 2nd Friday which is good considering competition from ‘HOUSEFULL 4’. Film added another 1.89 cr nett with good 50% jump on Saturday. Film again had slim growth on Sunday with figures of 2.32 cr nett.
‘Saand Ki Aankh’ added 80 lacs nett each on Monday and Tuesday. Film added 65 lac and 63 lac nett on Wednesday and Thursday. Movie collected 8.37 cr nett in 2nd week. Film collected 27 lacs nett on 3rd Friday, 51 lacs nett on Saturday and 72 lacs nett on Sunday. It added 1.50 cr nett in 3rd Weekend.
Film added 27 lac nett, 51 lac nett and 72 lac nett over 3rd Weekend. Film collected 24 lac, 38 lac, 22 lac and 27 lac nett on weekdays in 3rd week. Film collected 2.61 cr nett in 3rd week.
Film has 3 week total of 22.66 cr nett which is strictly average. The movie will finish with under 23.50 cr nett lifetime as new release has curtailed its business.
Saand Ki Aankh could had done well with non clash non Diwali release as this is below par total.
