Ayushmann Khurrana is on all time high with one hit after another that too with films which are getting rave reviews too. He has mastered combination of box office and critical acclaim. In span of two months, he is back with another hit after ‘Dreamgirl’.
‘Bala’ opened in 3000 screens in India and 550 screens overseas. This is biggest release ever for an Ayushmann Khurrana film. Film started little slower than last Ayushmann release ‘Dreamgirl’ primarily because of inferior music. Film picked up from second show onwards itself and evening saw big jumps in metros especially.
Film collected 10.15 cr nett on day one which was highest opening for actor. Bala got little affected with Ayodhya verdict as theatres in north were shut. Still film jumped big 45% and collected 15.73 cr nett. Film has fantastic Sunday with 20% jump and collected 18.07 cr nett.
Film has weekend total of 43.95 cr nett that is a fantastic total,3rd highest weekend for Ayushmann after ‘Dreamgirl’ (44.57 cr nett) and ‘Badhaai Ho’ (45.70 cr nett). Film faces litmus test on Monday and it passed it flying colors.
Bala collected 8.26 cr nett on Monday which is hardly 15% drop from Friday. Film has collected 9.52 cr nett on Tuesday as it got benefit from Guru Nanak Jayanti holiday. Film witnessed first drop on Wednesday with 5.20 cr nett. Film collected 5.31 cr nett on Thursday. Drop is manageable if it manages to stay strong on 2nd Weekend as that will decide its lifetime biz.
Film has 72.24 cr nett total after 1st week which is fantastic. Now normal trending and lack of competition in 2nd week can take it to 100 cr nett.
Another massive hit from Ayushmann!!
