1 Chartbuster Music

From Visualizing the first love to the best wedding dance number, Jatin – Lalit has phenomenally given justice to a promising story. ‘Mere Khwabon Mein’ sung by legendary Lata Mangeshkar is undoubtfully every 90’s girl’s top-of-mind song. The towel dance of Kajol created a lot of buzz at that time. Whereas ‘Hogaya Hain Tujhko To Pyaar’ and ‘Tujhe Dekha To’ became the sensational romantic hits of Bollywood. The wedding anthem ‘Mehendi Laga Ke Rakhna’ sung by Udit Narayan and Lata Mangeshkar will still make you do those iconic steps choreographed by late choreographer Saroj Khan. This song is till now played in very Indian wedding function.

2 Costumes

Debutant director Aditya Chopra has creatively managed to add every flavor to the lead character i.e. Kajol in the film. In this film, Kajol is seen in almost all avatars of her. Her sea-green halter neck dress in the song ‘Ruk Ja’ was sexy and bold. Kajol’s Salwar- Kurta with Scarf bow hairdo is something which every 90’s girl followed. Her last magnified green lehenga and golden Lehenga look was just too pretty and still preserved in every bride’s checklist. Commenting on the lehenga, designer Manish Malhotra revealed “Adi was very clear that he wanted Kajol to be very real but yet there is a clever quotient to her and that synergy I think came across very, very strongly in DDLJ’s costumes where they were relatable but yet there was something new and special about them,” he said. Coming to Shah Rukh Khan, his leather jacket look was amazing, that it trended and was followed by the SRK fans.

3 Mesmerizing Locations

No doubt the love story is still alive in our hearts, but the magnifying locations are just breathtaking. The film has shown us a glimpse of London’s Trafalgar Square and Southhall, Switzerland’s Gstaad where a major chunk of Raj – Simran’s romance was shown.
