Junaid Khan, the eldest son of actor Aamir Khan, is slated to make his cinematic debut with a YRF entertainment. Junaid, a skilled actor, has worked in theatre for a long time and has appeared in a number of successful productions. He studied acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles and has been in productions such as A Farming Story, A Few Good Mewn, and Medea, directed by his sister Ira Khan. When asked about his son’s plans for Bollywood earlier this year, Aamir replied that Junaid was more of a theatre guy than a cinema guy.
However, he has discovered his passion in feature films, and YRF has decided to support him in his endeavours. Junaid will star in a period drama produced by the production studio that has launched several prominent names in the business, including Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh.
Now that the superstar-son is all prepared to make his debut, the most pressing question on our minds is whether he would follow in the footsteps of Abhishek Bachchan or Ranbir Kapoor in the industry. The point is simple: both actors are talented and versatile, but only Ranbir Kapoor has made a name for himself in Bollywood with his large box office figures and critical acclaim both. Abhishek, on the other hand, won awards for his acting capabilities but never became a force reckon with at box office.
The Bollywood industry have seen a lot of starkids launching in the big films, but no everyone could make their place in the film line as their parent did. However, we will know soon if Junaid Khan will carve out a niche for himself or if he will simply be another starkid who will steal the show for a short while.
Only time will tell what the future holds for Junaid Khan.
