Ajay Devgn’s Dhamaal 4 Kicks Off Strong, Collects ₹15.50 Crore Nett On Day 1

Laughter, nostalgia and full-blown franchise chaos powered Dhamaal 4 into cinemas this weekend, as audiences turned up for the familiar madness of Adi, Manav and the gang’s latest big-screen misadventure. With Indra Kumar back in command of the mayhem and Ajay Devgn leading a crowded comic ensemble, the film has opened on an upbeat note, tapping into the long-running popularity of the Dhamaal brand and its family-friendly appeal.

The newest instalment leans heavily into the series’ signature mix of treasure-hunt confusion, slapstick set-pieces and ensemble banter. In the film’s official launch note, the makers described the story as “the biggest treasure hunt of their lives,” while also calling it a “fun-filled, adventurous family entertainer.” That pitch appears to have connected early with the franchise’s core audience.

Day 1 Box Office Gives Dhamaal 4 A Flying Start

The film collected ₹15.50 crore nett on Day 1 in India, giving Dhamaal 4 a solid start at the domestic box office. For a comedy-led franchise film, the opening signals healthy interest across family audiences and fans who have stayed attached to the series over the years.

The Day 1 total also sets up the film well for the rest of the weekend, especially with its broad comic tone and nostalgia value doing much of the heavy lifting. Audience response around the return of fan-favourite characters and the film’s chaotic comic energy has helped strengthen its opening-day momentum.

Indra Kumar Returns To Familiar Comic Territory

Directed by Indra Kumar, Dhamaal 4 continues the franchise’s loud, fast-moving adventure-comedy template. The cast includes Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh, Jaaved Jaaferi and Sanjay Mishra, along with Esha Gupta, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Anjali Anand, Upendra Limaye, Vijay Patkar and Ravi Kishan.

Presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series in association with Devgn Films, T-Series Films, Maruti International and Panorama Studios, the film released in cinemas in July 2026. Its central premise follows the gang as they plunge into a high-stakes treasure hunt, triggering the kind of greed, confusion and comic collisions that have defined the franchise from the start.

What Dhamaal 4’s Opening Says About Ajay Devgn’s Current Run

For Ajay Devgn, Dhamaal 4’s opening is not just a good first-day number for a comedy sequel, it is another sign of his continued pull in theatrical Hindi cinema. At a time when familiarity, recall value and event appeal matter more than ever, the actor has once again anchored a title that arrived with built-in audience recognition and translated that into a strong start at the ticket window.

That is what makes this opening especially telling. Dhamaal 4 has come out of the gate with the kind of momentum that reinforces Devgn’s hold over the mainstream theatrical space, particularly when he fronts large-format entertainers with strong recall. If the weekend builds from here, the film will only strengthen the sense that Devgn remains one of the few stars who can turn franchise comfort into opening-day excitement and keep the conversation firmly in cinemas.
