Ajay Devgn’s latest film, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha (AMKDT), directed by Neeraj Pandey, is having a tough time at the box office. Despite high expectations, the romantic drama has failed to capture the audience’s interest since its release, leading to a disappointing performance.
After 11 days in theatres, AMKDT is barely holding on, with new releases looming that could push it out of cinemas soon. On Monday, 12 August 2024, the film recorded just 8.32% Hindi occupancy, further highlighting its struggle to attract viewers.
Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha Set For A Disappointing Finish
The film had a weak debut, earning only Rs 1.85 crore on its opening day. This marked the lowest opening for a Devgn film in a decade, setting a grim tone for its box office journey. By the end of its first week, the film’s total earnings had only reached Rs 10.05 crore, showing little improvement over the days.
While there was a slight increase in numbers on the second Saturday, it wasn’t enough to turn the film’s fortunes around. On Day 2, AMKDT managed to pull in Rs 2.15 crore, reflecting a 16.22% rise from its opening day. Sunday brought a brief moment of hope, with earnings climbing to Rs 2.75 crore, a 27.91% increase from Saturday. However, this positive momentum was short-lived.
By Monday, the film’s earnings took a nosedive, dropping to Rs 1 crore, which represented a significant 63.64% decrease from the previous day. The downward trend continued throughout the week, with the film earning Rs 0.95 crore on Tuesday, Rs 0.75 crore on Wednesday, and Rs 0.60 crore on Thursday. The first week ended with a total collection of Rs 10.05 crore.
The second week didn’t bring any relief. Despite a special Rs 99 cinema offer on Day 8, aimed at boosting attendance, the film managed to earn only Rs 0.30 crore. Saturday saw a minor improvement with Rs 0.54 crore, followed by Rs 0.56 crore on Sunday. However, these numbers were far from enough to reverse the film’s declining trajectory. On Day 11, earnings dropped further to a mere Rs 0.21 crore.
With a cumulative total of Rs 11.66 crore after 11 days, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha is on track to become one of the biggest box office flops of 2024. The film might end up around the Rs 12 crore mark before its run in theatres comes to an end.

About The Film
