Baby John hit cinemas on Christmas 2024 with big expectations. Starring Varun Dhawan and Keerthy Suresh, the film was expected to make waves. However it proved to be a disappointment.
Mufasa: The Lion King has sold more tickets on its Christmas advances than Baby John has managed in its Day 1 advance bookings. While the latter had high expectations ahead of its release, it seems to be struggled to attract pre-sale interest compared to its competitors.
Varun Dhawan‘s much-awaited action thriller, Baby John, released yesterday on Christmas Day. However, the film faced disappointing advance ticket sales followed by mixed reviews.
And on day two, film met with its fate with massive drop followed by further drop on day three.
Baby John Struggles On Day Four
Film collected below par 11.25 crore nett on day one. It was solo release and that too on Christmas. Still it didn’t find many takers. Holdover releases like Pushpa 2 and Mufasa collected better numbers which was simply embarrassing.
If that was not enough, film dropped further on day two. Film dropped by big 60% and collected poor 5.13 crore net. Film dropped further on day three and collected 3.80 cr or net. Film added equally poor 4.20 crore net on day 4 Saturday.
With 4 – day total of 24.38 crore net, it’s looking at disastrous numbers unless new year holidays push the film towards some respectability.
Baby John will suffer and will find it difficult to jump over the weekend. Anything less than 60 – 70 crore net weekend despite being holiday will be a poor result. It might wrap under 40 – 50 crore net lifetime. Shocking!
