Bobby Deol’s Bandar arrived in cinemas with a festival glow, a serious filmmaker at the helm, and a premise built around public scrutiny, fame and a bruising legal battle. The box office, however, has not matched that curiosity. After three days in theatres, the Anurag Kashyap directorial has managed a low opening weekend, putting the film on a difficult commercial path.
Bandar Collects Rs 2.10 Crore In Three Days
Bandar collected Rs 2.10 crore nett at the Indian box office in its opening weekend. The film opened at Rs 50 lakh on Friday, grew to Rs 80 lakh on Saturday, and added another Rs 80 lakh on Sunday.
The trend suggests only a modest weekend lift rather than a breakout. For a theatrical release headlined by a major Hindi film actor, the start is weak, and the film is now dependent on a strong weekday hold to avoid a flop verdict. Monday and Tuesday collections will be crucial in indicating whether the film has found a narrow urban audience or is headed for a quick theatrical fade.
The film also had to fight for limited attention at cinemas, with Varun Dhawan’s Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai and Ram Charan’s Peddi running alongside it. That competition restricted its screen space and audience share, but the low starting point remains the key worry.
Bandar Box Office Collection:
Day 1: 50 lac
Day 2: 80 lac
Day 3: 80 lac
Total: 2.10 crore nett
