Bhooth Bangla Box Office: Akshay Kumar’s Super Hit Horror Comedy Eyes Rs 190 Crore Finish After Strong Week 6

Akshay Kumar’s big-screen reunion with Priyadarshan has found serious staying power at the box office. After arriving in cinemas in April 2026, Bhooth Bangla has stretched its theatrical run beyond the usual front-loaded rush and is moving towards a Rs 190 crore finish in India. For a horror comedy driven by legacy nostalgia, ensemble chaos and Akshay’s return to a much-loved comic zone, the film’s sixth-week hold has added another strong chapter to its theatrical story.

Bhooth Bangla Week 6 Box Office Update

Bhooth Bangla collected Rs 4.75 crore in its sixth week, taking its India total to Rs 184.35 crore. The film had opened with a powerful Week 1 of Rs 94.85 crore, followed by Rs 42.65 crore in Week 2 and Rs 21 crore in Week 3. Its Week 4 stood at Rs 13.50 crore, while Week 5 added Rs 6.15 crore.

The trend shows that the film has retained audience interest well beyond its opening rush, cementing its super hit status at the domestic box office. The genre has been a strong commercial space for Hindi cinema in recent years, and this Akshay Kumar starrer has used that advantage smartly with a familiar comic tone and a big ensemble.

What Bhooth Bangla Is About

Bhooth Bangla is a Hindi horror comedy directed by Priyadarshan and headlined by Akshay Kumar. The film features a prominent ensemble including Tabu, Wamiqa Gabbi, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Mithila Palkar, Jisshu Sengupta, Manoj Joshi, Asrani and Rajesh Sharma. It is backed by Balaji Motion Pictures and Cape of Good Films.

The film follows a man who inherits a palace in rural Mangalpur, only to find himself pulled into a series of eerie, comic and chaotic events. Priyadarshan uses the haunted-house setup to bring together jump scares, old-school situational comedy and the kind of ensemble timing that has long defined his Hindi entertainers.

Akshay Kumar’s Recent And Upcoming Work
