The Kashmir Files, directed by Vivek Agnihotri, has received a lot of appreciation from Akshay Kumar. The film, which was released on March 11, has shattered all box office records and is performing exceptionally well around the world. When asked about the film, Akshay Kumar stated that the Vivek Agnihotri’s film completely wrecked Bachchhan Paandey.
Speaking at an event in Bhopal, Akshay Kumar spoke about The Kashmir Files. The actor said that the film brought to the forefront a bitter truth. He said, “Vivek ji ne Kashmir Files bana kar humara desh k ek bohot bade dardanak sach ko samne rakha hain. Ye film ek aisi bhet bann kar ayi, ye aur baat hain ki meri picture ko bhi doobadiya hain.”
While The Kashmir Files made over Rs 200 crore at the box office, Bachchhan Paandey had a lukewarm reception.
The Kashmir Files is based on the experiences of Kashmiri Pandits during the conflict in Kashmir in 1990. The Kashmir Genocide of the Kashmiri Pandit Community is based on video interviews with the first generation victims of the genocide. It’s a heartbreaking storey about Kashmiri pandits’ anguish, suffering, struggle, and trauma, as well as eye-opening facts about democracy, religion, politics, and humanity.
