Vivek Agnihotri’s film The Kashmir Files is doing outstanding at the box office. Despite being developed on a shoestring budget with no promotion and marketing, as well as a slew of problems, the film is exploding in theatres. On March 11, The Kashmir Files was released in theatres. The film is set in 1990 during the Kashmir insurgency and stars Anupam Kher and Mithun Chakraborty.
On Friday it is Rs. 23 crores and Saturday it crosses 22 cr nett, which is truly an unheard-of phenomenon. The Kashmir Files went on to collect 26.20 cr nett on its Sunday. Even on Monday the film scored a historic collection of 12.40 cr nett. The film did not stop impressing even on Tuesday and collected 10.25 cr nett and 10.03 cr on Wednesday. Even on Thursday, the film did not stop impressing and collected 7.20 cr nett. However, on Friday the film slowed down as the competition with SS Rajamouli’s RRR have started. The film made 4.50 cr on Friday.
The total collection of the film now stands at 211.83 cr nett.
