Sooryavanshi has remained consistent throughout the fourth week, with collections exceeding 50 lakhs on each of the weekdays. If Monday’s total was 64 lakhs and Tuesday’s was 62 lakhs, Wednesday’s total was 51 lakhs. Of course, if it had been at 55 lakhs on Wednesday, one may have expected it to be around 50 lakhs on Thursday. That won’t be the case now, but the film’s accomplishments thus far are sufficient.

The film’s total earnings have now reached 190.88 crores, with just over 9 crores needed to get into the 200 crore club for the Akshay Kumar and Rohit Shetty starrer. It’ll be a long road for the film to get there from here, because not only is Tadap coming out tomorrow, but Netflix will also be releasing Sooryavanshi soon.

While the OTT premiere window has been reduced from 8 weeks to 4 weeks, for big-ticket films like these, the sooner it returns to the former window, the better the theatrical prospects will be. That way, audiences would prefer to go to the movies rather than be assured that a film will be available on their home screen in less than a month.
