Arjun Kapoor,John Abraham,Tara Sutaria and Disha Patani starrer Ek Villain Returns released this weekend and film opened to mixed reviews. Film was a massy Mohit Suri film and that is why film managed to defy drops and had steady weekend. Though there was no substantial growth but in today’s scenario even a steady weekend is nothing short of achievement.
Film collected 7.05 cr nett on day one which was a decent result and then bad reviews kicked in. Still film managed solid 7.47 cr nett on Saturday which was only 5% growth but it’s not bad as an urban film would had crashed with such reviews but massy centers kept it afloat.
Film has again started on good note on Sunday and though there is not fat jump but there is no crags either which is a good news. As per early trends, film Shoumi grow by 5-7% again today and should collect in range of 7.90-8.20 cr nett.
It means that film will have a weekend total of 22.40-22.75 cr nett which is a fair result. Monday will see drop but if film can manage 3 cr nett plus Monday then it has hope for 40 cr nett lifetime as it has two open weeks at box office.
Overall a decent result at box office – neither anything spectacular nor anything dismal and such opinions are rare in today’s time as people love extreme verdicts!
