Star Kiccha Sudeep’s Kannada language action adventure film Vikrant Rona, which is being touted as yet another pan-India spectacle, has opened to muted but relatively solid numbers in the Hindi belt.
Outperforming earlier titles such as Vikram, Valimai, Beast and 777 Charlie — none of which could cross the Rs 50 lakh barrier on day one — Vikrant Rona has made around Rs 95 lacs in the Hindi belt followed by 75 lacs nett on Friday and 2.20 cr gross on Saturday including Kannada version in north. The film’s Hindi version was presented by Salman Khan.
Film did drop a bit on Friday due to mixed reviews and mid week working day release but then film again recovered on Saturday with weekend growth. Film will cross 95-98 cr gross today and might touch 100 cr gross worldwide.
