EXCLUSIVE Box Office Report: Ahan Shetty’s Tadap ends first week with good numbers!

If not for the pandemic, the Milan Luthria-directed film would have performed much better, as the present public preference appears to be for event films, such as Sooryavanshi.

With Ahan Shetty, Bollywood has gained a potential newcomer. His film Tadap did well at the box office, grossing 21.04 crores in its opening week. The film grossed an additional 1.51 crores on Thursday, which is a reasonable trend when compared to the 4.05 crores it earned on Friday.

At the very least, a start has been made with a film that stars a newbie in the major role and was released at a time when audiences were just getting back into theatres. Prior to Tadap, there were a few films starring rookies that did well, including Student of the Year and Heropanti. Tiger Shroff is now a major star thanks to Sajid Nadiadwala’s Heropanti. Now it’s up to Ahan Shetty to seize his opportunities and stay in the game.

The Milan Luthria-directed film did well in its second week as well, which could give it a pleasant run at least until Sajid Nadiadwala’s own 83 arrives on the 24th of December.
