Pushpa (Hindi) is currently proving to be a case study for the economics of south dubbed films that are doing well across India. With 3.50 crores on its third Friday, the film was just phenomenal. There are limits in place, evening and night shows have already been impacted, the pandemic scare has returned, and here is a film with a starring man who has never had a Hindi release before, and the business is still growing.
To think about it, the Allu Arjun starrer still has Saturday and Sunday to go, and with no competition at all, especially on single screens, the collections are just going to become better. Pushpa has seen a tremendous climb in weekend collections over the last two weeks, and even if 4 crores more are added on Saturday and Sunday each, the film will be close to 60 crores.

Meanwhile, Pushpa has already surpassed the half-century mark after receiving 50.59 crores in just 15 days. With each passing day, expectations are being exceeded, and while newer benchmarks such as 70 crores or 80 crores lifetime may be set, for now it’s all about sitting back and enjoying the show.
