Two back-to-back blockbuster movies Akshay Kumar’s Bell Bottom and Amitabh Bachchan’s Chehre, both well-received by critics may have lifted moviegoers’ moods, but their box-office collections have been disappointing.
After a poor opening day, Chehre managed to collect only 65 lacs nett on its Day 2, which is very dismal. The total India box office collection stands at 1.1 cr nett. Here’s the day-wise break up:
Day 1 Friday – 45 lacs nett
Day 2 Saturday – 65 lacs nett
This is a low collection for a film that was shot on a large scale and has excellent production quality. The sad part is despite good marketing, that the buzz is so low that this film would have had no chance here even if it was’t for pandemic times.
