Release in theatres have begun according to news from the cinema sector around the country. The festival season also peaks next week. In light of this, the new releases on Indian OTT platforms this week seem a little underwhelming.
Directed by Rumy Jafry, Chehre is produced by Anand Pandit Motion Pictures & Saraswati Entertainment Private Limited.
Anand Pandit, the film’s producer, resisted the temptation to release the Amitabh Bachchan, Emraan Hashmi, and Annu Kapoor starrer directly on the OTT because he wanted the film to be seen in theaters first.
The mystery drama ‘Chehre,’ which is presently in its second week of release, shared the box office with the Akshay Kumar action film ‘Bell Bottom,’ which is also in its second week of release.
After a poor opening day, Chehre managed to collect only 65 lacs nett on its Day 2, which is very dismal.
From this point on, it’ll be all about how well Chehre can collect in the days ahead before its OTT premium.
Also, Mr. Bachchan did not just deliver the monologue, it also has a surprise in it.
If you are a hard core fan of Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi, then you should definitely watch this one.

The film is produced by Anand Pandit Motion Pictures & Saraswati Entertainment Private Limited, which is now all set to release in the cinema houses worldwide on 27th August, 2021.

Mr. Bachchan has recited a poem written by Rumy Jafry for the title track that has been put to tune by Shekhar Ravjiani of Vishal-Shekhar, with 107 musicians of Prague.
