Chehre’s box office performance has been poor. It didn’t start well, couldn’t flourish, and then there was no actual sustenance even during the Janmashtami holiday. The film only made 2.05 crores in four days, and even when all the pandemic-related elements are taken into account, the figures are simply not good.
The film opened with the collection of Rs 45 lakh and went on to collect Rs 65 lakh on Saturday. The film went on to add 1 cr in its kitty on Sunday and on Monday, the film came down to 40 lakhs. With this, the film’s total now stands at an estimated Rs 2.45 cr.

This is a low collection for a film that was shot on a large scale and has excellent production quality. The mystery drama ‘Chehre,’ which is presently in its second week of release, shared the box office with the Akshay Kumar action film ‘Bell Bottom,’ which is also in its second week of release.
Anand Pandit, the film’s producer, resisted the temptation to release the Amitabh Bachchan, Emraan Hashmi, and Annu Kapoor starrer directly on the OTT because he wanted the film to be seen in theaters first. While this is greatly appreciated, be assured that the Rumy Jafry film will now receive a greater number of viewers on television due to lower theater attendance.
