Satyameva Jayate 2 and Antim: The Final Truth are poised for a theatrical release this weekend, bringing the Hindi film industry’s first box office clash in pandemic times. While the Milap Zaveri-directed film is released on Thursday, November 25, the Mahesh Manjrekar-directed film will be released on Friday, November 26. The two films will be released on around the same number of screens, which brings us to the opening day dispute.
Antim: The Final Truth will be released on a traditional Friday, and we anticipate box office collection in the range of Rs 12 crore on its first day. The film is being marketed as a titanic battle between Salman Khan (policeman) and Aayush Sharma (gangster), yet it is far from being a typical Salman Khan picture from tip to finish.

The opening may be greater or lower depending on the number of tickets sold and the level of excitement among Salman’s on-the-ground fans who do not use social media. Given Salman’s role as the campaign’s face, we expect the film to have a respectable opening and then rely on word of mouth for a lifetime figure. A lot will depend on how much screen time Salman has in the film. Antim would be pleased with a day in the double digits.
