Actor Kangana posted a provocative photograph on Instagram about the ‘mood at home’. She wrote, “Another day another FIR… just in case they come to arrest me… mood at home.”
Members of the Sikh community have filed a FIR against Kangana Ranaut for allegedly hurting their religious sensibilities. Amarjeetsingh Sandhu, together with leaders of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) and Shiromani Akali Dal, filed the FIR (SAD). They saw a post on Kangana’s profile that violated their values, according to a complaint filed on November 21. The article was written in two languages: English and Hindi.
Members of the DSGMC claimed that the infamous Ranaut had falsely labelled the farmers’ protest (Kisan Morcha) as a Khalistani movement, as well as the Sikh community as Khalistani terrorists. “We have registered an FIR under Section 295A (Deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs) against the actress. We are investigating the matter further,” said Gajanan Kabdule, a senior police inspector of Khar police station.
This isn’t the first time this Bollywood starlet has been charged with a crime. Kangana Ranaut has been in legal trouble before, and she has been in more since the death of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Kangana Ranaut is best known for propagating hate speech on social media, which resulted in her being banned from Twitter at the start of the year.
