Anurag Kashyap has been absent from the limelight for a while. Though he was seen as an actor and producer, AK vs AK (2020), his last film as a director, Choked (2020), had been released more than two years ago. The director has since returned with Dobaaraa starring Taapsee Pannu, an odd thriller. It will debut in theaters on August 19 after making waves at multiple international film festivals.
Dobaaraa should open close to 45 lac nett and will collect around 1.30 lac on the first weekend. The film will complete its lifetime collection with 3 cr at the box office.

With Dobaaraa, Ektaa R Kapoor also launches Cult movies in the market, a new wing under Balaji Motion Pictures, Cult Movies, which tells compelling, edgy & genre-bending stories.
Starring Taapsee Pannu, the film is directed by Anurag Kashyap and produced by Shobha Kapoor & Ektaa R Kapoor’s Cult Movies, a new wing under Balaji Telefilms and Sunir Kheterpal & Gaurav Bose (Athena).
Dobaaraa will release on 19th August 2022 in cinemas.
