Deva Day 7 Box Office Collection: Shahid Kapoor Starrer Falls Short With Below Par 29 Crore 1st Week Domestic Total

Shahid’s Deva has had a mixed start at the Indian box office. Film falls short of setting the box office on fire.

The film received mixed reviews. Fans were particularly impressed with the intense climax, but some viewers weren’t as fond of the slow-paced first half. Due to the mixed reactions, Shahid Kapoordidn’t outgrow negative reviews.

Deva Struggled At Box Office

In terms of box office performance, Deva is currently in second place for Bollywood releases in January 2025. Film collected 5.78 crore net on day one. It is trailing behind Sky Force, which raked in Rs 15.30 crore, but it still outperformed other releases like Azaad (Rs 1.50 crore), Fateh (Rs 2.61 crore), and Emergency (Rs 3.11 crore).

Deva did manage to surpass the opening of Shahid Kapoor’s Jersey (Rs 4 crore) by a significant margin, nearly 44%. However, it didn’t quite make it to the top 10 of Shahid Kapoor’s biggest openers, as it needed at least Rs 6.07 crore to beat Rangoon at number 10.

Looking at Shahid’s career, Deva did not manage to break into his top openers list. His biggest opening remains Kabir Singh at Rs 20.21 crore, followed by Padmaavat at Rs 19 crore. Other notable openers include Shaandaar (Rs 13.10 crore) and R… Rajkumar (Rs 10.10 crore).

Deva Remained Steady On Weekdays But With Low Numbers

Film collected 6.61 crore net on day two with only 14% growth from 5.78 crore day 1. Film managed another slim growth or 5% on day 3 with 6.91 crore number. This is poor trend and film struggled to cross 19.30 crore net over the weekend. Film collected 9.75 crore net on weekdays with steady trend but on lower levels.

Film has total of 29.05 crore net and it will finish with 35 crore net domestic lifetime. Film collected 34.01 crore gross worldwide over the weekend and approximate 50 crore worldwide gross in 1st week.

India:

Day 1: 5.78 crore

Day 2: 6.61 crore

Day 3: 6.91 crore

Day 4: 2.75 crore

Day 5: 2.50 crore

Day 6: 2.40 crore

Day 7: 2.10 crore

Total: 29.05 crore net

In urban centres, the multiplexes saw better occupancy, but mass circuits have been slow. For Deva to succeed, it will need a big hold over the 2nd weekend which seems tough considering so many new releases. A strong showing in the next few days will be crucial for it to make a respectable lifetime one total. This week will saw plethora of releases and there will not be much hope for Deva

Shahid Kapoor fans will be hoping the film gains momentum as the week progresses.
