With just the paid preview window currently on sale, Dhurandhar: The Revenge has already delivered a loud opening note in advance booking, signalling strong interest from the multiplex audience even before the full opening weekend inventory unlocks.
As of March 7, 2026, the early trend is being driven heavily by national chains, and the showcasing plan suggests the makers and exhibitors are treating the preview day like an event in itself.
Paid Preview Advances Take Off In National Multiplex Chains
Advance bookings for Dhurandhar: The Revenge opened in India and the initial response was swift. The film crossed 33,000 tickets sold in national chains for the paid previews alone, with sales worth over Rs. 1.25 crore nett within the first hours of bookings going live. A major chunk of the early traction came from PVRINOX, which contributed about 22,000 tickets.
At the moment, bookings are open only for the paid preview shows on March 18 and are limited largely to national multiplex chains such as PVRINOX, Cinepolis and Moviemax. The early strategy is clear, maximise premium-priced previews first, then open up the remaining inventory closer to release.
Show allocation on the preview day is also unusually aggressive. Several multiplexes have given the film exclusive play for the last two shows of the day, while larger properties have opened the majority of their screens for it, keeping limited space for competing titles. With the film’s runtime said to be close to four hours, the late-night start times will naturally push the second show towards 10 pm or later, making occupancy in some centres a key watch as the date approaches.
